a few thoughts on the passing scene

Other than the fee, renewing my vehicle's registration for another year was relatively painless.

Way to go, California DMV, for making it possible for me to simply log on in my pajamas and pay my vehicle registration fee!

I'm cataloging books on LibraryThing again, as the incoming stack is about to reach critical mass if I don't. And this time, my CueCat has gone walkabout in my room, so I have to do what I can to enter by hand. And in trying to find the ISBN for one book, I open it up and find "Printed in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics" on the book information page. Wow. (I should also note the book is in English, which just makes it all that much cooler.)

(I pick up a lot of books second-hand at thrift stores. The book in question, on the myths of 'People of the North', is one of those.)

It's going to be a busy week. I have three midterm projects for my InDesign class (a flyer, a product label, and a wedding invitation) all due by next Sunday, a programming assignment in my PHP class due Thursday, and I have to get the next issue of At Ungodly Hours out for the next APA mailing by next Monday. Also, I have a half-dozen appointments for either my mom or me. Yeah. It's going to be a busy week.
